It may have only taken ten years, but it looks like the playful rivalry between 'The Simpsons' and its sort of spiritual successor 'Family Guy' may finally be put to rest. While both FOX series have taken playful shots at one another over the years, the bridge has finally been built as 'Family Guy' creator and voice-artist Seth MacFarlane will lend his voice to an upcoming 'Simpsons' episode! Who might the golden-voiced 'Guy' play, and what does it have to do with 'Downton Abbey?'
Whether or not you've kept up with the series in the last ten years, it's hard to believe there was ever a time when 'Family Guy' was in danger of cancellation. Now past 200 episodes and with Seth MacFarlane's star ever on the rise, the series can attract just about any guest star it wants! The town of Quahog however, where the dysfunctional Griffin family and their even more dysfunctional friends live, is fictional.
But it’s going to be a real place for a day as part of a bus tour being offered by the Rhode Island-based Blackstone Valley Tourism Council.
