Starship Remembered Today in Music History [Video]

Wow!  Check out the hair!   I tried to get the 'big hair' look in the eighties but the closest I got was a bad perm in the ninth grade.  I wanted big hair and I got it and it would not come down.  I wonder how much hairspray rock stars really went through.  Today in music history we remember Starship.  From Jefferson Airplane in 1967, to Jefferson Starship in1974.  Then in1984, due to legal difficulties, the group's name was changed to just Starship, including Grace Slick, Mickey Thomas, Craig Chaquico, and Pete Sears.

In 1985, Starship kicked off a two week run at number one on the U.S. singles chart with "We Built This City".  My middle sister, Kristin had the 45 record and played it over and over.
