State Senator James L. Seward met Wednesday with dairy producers and advocates for farming during the 2016 Legislative Dairy Day in Albany. The Senator is a long-standing member of the Senate Agriculture Committee and has consistently worked to ensure programs benefiting New York’s dairy industry receive state support. During this year’s state budget negotiations, Senator Seward led the fight to add more than $9 million to the governor’s budget proposal and restore budget cuts to 33 different programs that farmers depend on.
