Police making a welfare check on an Oneonta man last Friday end up taking him into custody on drug charges.

According to Oneonta Police news release, officers were called to a Rose Avenue address on reports that a man was sick outside a car and when they arrived, they found a man identified as Kyle Alger, behind the wheel – a person who investigators say was a known drug dealer.

Alger was found to be in possession of heroin and was remanded to the custody of the Otsego County Sheriff on $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 property bond.
