NYSEG has approved more than $3.5 million in emergency economic development storm-recovery funding for 92 building redevelopment/revitalization and agricultural projects in 31 communities impacted by Hurricane Irene or Tropical Storm Lee.

Another 105 applications from nonresidential customers are being evaluated.

The application deadline is Sept. 1.

Mark Lynch, president of NYSEG, said they want to help as many customers as they possibly can, but they can only help if those nonresidential customers who incurred storm damage apply for these no-strings-attached grants.
