New Berlin Inmate Charged With Attempted Assault For Correctional Facility Fight

A 39 year old New Berlin man was arrested Monday on a charge of 2nd degree attempted assault.

Current Otsego county correctional facility inmate Shawn Richard Bennett allegedly punched another inmate several times in the head.

Bennett was issued an appearance ticket returnable next month in Middlefield Court. He’s currently being held without bail on an unrelated state parole warrant.
