Volunteers across the country, including participants at Glimmerglass State Park, will visit their favorite parks, beaches, wildlife preserves, or forests this Saturday to commemorate the 23rd annual National Public Lands Day. This is the nation’s largest, single-day volunteer effort for public lands. The Friends of Glimmerglass State Park and Friends of Recreation, Conservation and Environmental Stewardship are celebrating this day by hosting a variety of activities with NYS Parks Natural Steward Biologist, Tom Hughes. The general public is welcome to attend one or all of the free educational activities. For more information please call 547-8662.
