Tractors are not just the modern day work horses, they are fun too.  Discover the big world of tractors and enjoy fun, family activities this Saturday and Sunday, October 11th and 12th (both days 10:00 am–5:00 pm) with Tractor Fest at the Farmers Museum in Cooperstown.  

See over 60 classic tractors, new tractors, small engines, and other machinery, representing the advance of farming technology.  You'll be able to see some of them at work, thrashing and baling as well.  Here are some other highlights:

  • An exhibit of antique milking machines
  • Wagon rides pulled by the Ford Golden Jubilee tractor
  • At 2:00 pm both days: Kiddie pedal-tractor contest for kids age 7 and younger, with prizes for all participants
  • Tractor parade (starts at 9:00 am on Sunday)
  • Toys of Yesterday: Enjoy farm toys and pickups, courtesy of Troy Deamer (Sunday only).
  • Activities for children presented by Hanford Mills will show them the power of steam.
  • Enjoy tastings of "Cascade" beer brewed locally by Council Rock Brewery.
  • Meet the author of Santa's Second Home, Paul T. Kuhn, during a book-signing on Saturday from 12:30-2:00 pm.
  • NYCAMH offers free blood pressure screenings to the public.
