New York State Police at Homer investigated a two car, fatal, head-on collision in the Town of Homer, NY. The collision occurred on ST-90 at approximately 9:20 a.m. on October 31.  A preliminary investigation revealed that a 2011 Ford dump truck, owned by the Town of Sempronius (Cayuga County)  and being operated by 27-year old Tyler Bloodgood, of Moravia, NY, was traveling westbound on ST-90, when he crossed over into the eastbound lane and struck a 2011 Ford F350 pick-up traveling eastbound, being operated by 38-year old Raymond Wamsley, of Stamford, NY.   Bloodgood was transported to Cortland Regional Medical Center and was treated and released. Raymond Wamsley was pronounced deceased at the scene, while his passenger, Herbert Roe, age 50, of East Meredith, NY was also transported to Cortland Regional Medical Center and was treated and released. The investigation into the collision is continuing. The New York State Police is requesting anyone with information to contact the New York State Police at Ithaca at (607) 347-4440.
