Oneonta and other area cities will be receiving New York State money to upgrade its water pipelines and mains.  It’s part of a nearly $30 million grant award announced by the Cuomo administration as part of the state’s Water Infrastructure Improvement Act.  According to the state the program since 2011 has awarded around $9 billion in both wastewater and drinking water grants along with reduced rate financing to municipalities for repairing water and sewage infrastructure.
