The Ricky J. Parisian Pitrun is coming up October 6, 2013 and is celebrating its 20th Anniversary. The Pitrun includes a sanctioned 10k race, 5k run, 2 mile stroll and a kid’s fun run. It's also a community celebration of Rick’s life and a local scholarship fundraiser, too.

The Third Annual Out of The Darkness Walk will be held Saturday, September 14, 2013 in Oneonta, New York at Neahwa Park.  This event supports prevention efforts in Otsego and surrounding counties as well as the American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.

This Friday, July 19, 2013 is the start of the 17th Annual Chenango County Relay For Life.  The event runs through Saturday, July 20, 2013 at the Chenango County Fairgrounds in Norwich, New York.  I am pleased to be a part of the festivities as teams walk to celebrate the lives of loved ones who have battled cancer, remember those who were taken too soon and raise money to find a cure for cancer.

Leaf and Body By Stacy want to know if your Tuff Enuff?  This year at the Hometown Fourth of July Celebration in Neawha Park, Oneonta, the day will start with an exciting 5K challenge at 8:30am with four different waves.  Plan on getting dirty as the course promises to be anything but ordinary.
