What a crazy afternoon!  Yesterday, my family had headed out on the road to go to Oneida Lake.  What should have been one and a half hours turned into a three hour tour of every back road on the map. We could tell by the sky that a major storm had traveled through and when we pulled through Earlville, New York, it became very evident that the storm meant business...

It's that time of year again, fair season! The Otsego County Fair in Morris, NY will run from July 29th to August 3rd.

If you happened to sleep through last night's doozy of a thunderstorm, then you are waking up to the surprise of road closure announcements and a school closing.

These little green signs pepper every state highway in New York. Each of these signs is unique and tells you a surprising amount of information about the road on which you're traveling.

If you've been saying choice words under your breath while driving on some of Oneonta's pothole riddled streets, then this news will cheer you up.

Have you noticed, less traffic in the city of Oneonta, NY this week?  With a population of a little over 13,000, Oneonta will become a really quiet city after this weekend, at least for a little while.

With plenty of rain expected over the next 24 hour period here in Central New York, it's no surprise that the National Weather Service has issued a Flood Watch message for area residents:
