Caryn Balnis, Ella Pawkett Win Junior Idol

The Junior Idol finale, presented by Five Star Subaru and Townsquare Media, lived up to its billing, showcasing the area's best young talent at the Oneonta Theatre.

Winners of this year's Junior Idol are Caryn Balnis (16-20 age group) and Ella Pawkett (11-15 years old).

At just 11 years old, Pawkett is the youngest ever winner of Junior Idol and took full advantage of the expanded age group.

Balnis, a veteran of past Junior Idol competitions, took home the crown with rousing performances of "Welcome to the Jungle" by Guns N' Roses, and "One and Only" by Adele.
