Bloomburg and Cuomo’s Closed Door Meetings OK’d
The state appellate court has thrown out a challenge to New York same sex marriage law.
Opponents argued that state senators violated open meeting rules by meeting with Governor Andrew Cuomo and New York City mayor Michael Bloomburg behind closed doors before last summer’s historic vote.
The appellate court ruled that open meeting rules did not apply in this case, where the republican caucus was meeting with invited guests.
