Big Chuck is on vacation in the South this week.  He is on his way to see his daughter Frances in Atlanta and his other daughter Katie in Alabama.  And of course he will be spending some Grandpa-time with his new grandson Connor.

Nashville was popping last night.  We started at Tootsie's Alley.  This is the famed walkway between the Ryman Theater and Tootsie's Orchid Lounge.  Everybody from Hank Sr. to Willie Nelson to Carrie Underwood have "snuck" across this alley for a "break" between shows at the Ryman.

The downtown clubs were packed with locals and tourists.  Music choices are pretty varied here in Music City.  What a busy night..and it was a Tuesday night!

I haven't been to Nashville in a few years.  The Johnny Cash Museum, right in downtown, is new to me.  There was a long line of people inside waiting to get in to see the life of the 'Man in Black."

While downtown Nashville is known for its rows of honky tonks, there is still the looming presence of the giant ATT tower, the tallest building in the city.  Everyone calls it the Batman Building because the top of it looks just like Batman's head, ears and all!

As the sun went down after a long day on the road we headed for Centennial Park.  What a gorgeous area right in the city to cool off in.  And look what we found!
