It has to be one of the oddest museums and halls of fame in the country.  How could I not stop?

It is the International Towing and Recovery Museum and Hall of Fame in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Yes...tow trucks.

The very first tow truck in America was made just down the road from the museum eight decades ago.  Inside the museum are 18 old tow trucks, memorabilia, magazines, displays and a gift shop.  Outside is a Wall of Fallen honoring tow truck drivers who have died in the line of duty.

A great statue can be found at the entrance.  It depicts a tow truck driver assisting in the rescue of a man and a child from a submerged car.  You can just barely make out the rear taillights of the car under the water.  It is quite gripping.

So here's to all the tow truck drivers out there!
