If you live in Central New York, you are well aware that winters can be long with very little sunshine but it can also be beautiful and open up very fun outdoor opportunities!  No matter your age, you're sure to find some outdoor fun this winter here in Delaware and Otsego Counties.

I've come up with a wonderful list of upcoming outdoor fun activities to enjoy with family and friends...

Oneonta Tree Lighting Event:  December 6, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Oneonta’s Main Street.

Farmers' Museum Candlelight Light Evening:  December 8, 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Farmers' Museum in Cooperstown.

Hanford Mills Museum’s Ice Harvest Festival:  February 2, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Hanford Mills Museum in East Meredith.

CANO Chili Bowl Cookoff:  February 3, noon to 4 p.m. at CANO on Ford Ave. in Oneonta.

Cooperstown Winter Carnival: February 8, 9, and 10 in Cooperstown

Snommegang Beer Festival: March 9, 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Oneonta's Main Street

You can't go wrong with any one of these events!  They are all wonderful and a great way to embrace winter in Central New York.
