3 Car Accident On Rt. 23 Sends 4 To Fox Hospital

Delaware County Deputies are investigating a three car accident on Highway 23 which sent several people to the hospital with minor injuries. 23 year old Kevin Mathew of New City, NY was going west on 23 when he crossed the yellow line and hit a car driven by 37 year old William Eklund of Stamford who was going west on 23. The violent collision caused Eklund’s car to spin in the road and hit a parked car on the side of the road containing 62 year old Margaret Smith of Otego. All were taken to the AO Fox Memorial Hospital in Oneonta including a passenger in Mathew’s vehicle. Kevin Mathew was issued a traffic summons.
