Delaware County Sheriff’s Deputies and Investigators arrested a Fleischmanns resident and Delaware County Correctional Facility inmate Saturday morning with felony drug and prison contraband charges after Correction Officers observed a visitor passing contraband to the inmate during visitation. The visitor, 21 year old Rosemarie Palmerini of Fleischmanns was charged with the class “B” felony offenses of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and the class “D” felony offense of Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree.

Palmerini is accused of possessing, selling and introducing a quantity of heroin into the Delaware County Correctional Facility during visitation Saturday morning. The inmate, 39 year old Christopher Fairbairn, 39, of Margaretville who is currently being held in without bail on three class “B” felony offenses of Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree, was arrested and charged with one the class “D” felony offense of Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree and one class “A” misdemeanor offense of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Seventh Degree.

Palmerini was sent to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $75,000 cash bail and Fairbairn in lieu of $25,500 cash bail. After further investigation by Sheriff’s Investigators, 34 year old Jennifer Myers-Finch, of Arkville, was arrested Monday afternoon with the assistance of the Columbia County Sheriff’s Office and charged with the class “B” felony offenses of Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and Criminal Sale of a Controlled Substance in the Third Degree and the class “D” felony offense of Promoting Prison Contraband in the First Degree. Myers-Finch is accused of coordinating the jail visitation between Palmerini and Fairbairn and then supplying Palmerini with the heroin that Palmerini delivered to Fairbairn during her visitation with him in the Correctional Facility on Saturday morning. Myers-Finch was arraigned in the Town of Stamford Court on Monday evening and was remanded to the Delaware County Correctional Facility in lieu of $30,000 cash bail.
